Ways To Donate

The support of the community – both businesses and individuals - is essential to the success of the Conewago Valley Foundation for Education. This essential program generates and awards resources to enhance the learning environment for all 3,700+ Conewago Valley School District students.

The Conewago Valley Foundation for Education is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide supplemental funding and support for school initiatives and innovations to benefit the students in our learning community.

CVFE is also EITC approved (Educational Improvement Organization).

​Why donate to CVFE through EITC?

Because it is a win/win situation!  By making a tax deductible donation to CVFE through the EITC program, not only do you receive a reduction in your tax liability, but your company is making a positive impact in the community by supporting the innovative educational programs in the Conewago Valley School District. Businesses making an EIO donation may be eligible to receive a tax credit of 75% for a one year commitment or 90% for a two year commitment.  Eligible companies may take up to $750,000 in tax credits per fiscal year.

Businesses making a PKSO donation may be eligible to receive a tax credit equal to 100% of the first $10,000 contributed and up to 90 percent of the remaining amount contributed up to a maximum credit of $200,000 annually.

Who qualifies?
Corporations who pay one or all of the following taxes qualify to participate in the EITC program:
  • Personal Income Tax
  • Capital Stock/Foreign Franchise Tax
  • Corporate Net Income Tax
  • Bank Shares Tax
  • Title Insurance & Trust Company Shares Tax
  • Insurance Premium Tax (excluding surplus lines, unauthorized, domestic/foreign marine)
  • Mutual Thrift Tax
  • Malt Beverage Tax
  • Retaliatory Fees under section 212 of the Insurance Company Law of 1921
When do you apply?
  • The deadline to submit your application for the EITC program is July 1, when making a one year commitment.  For two year applicants, the deadline is May 15.  Applicants are required to submit applications electronically.  Guidelines are available at the DCED website. 
Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.  A copy of the official registration and financial information of CVFE may be obtained from the Department of State by calling toll-free, within PA, 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
